Key Personnel is seeking a Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a growing pediatric healthcare practice in the Tulsa, OK area.

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Pay: $25.00/hour

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Summary:

The Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents in a fast-paced pediatric clinic. Working under the direction of physicians and registered nurses, the LPN assists with patient assessments, medication administration, immunizations, procedures, and patient education while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for patients and their families. The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, and passionate about providing exceptional pediatric care.

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients under the supervision of a physician or Registered Nurse.
• Room patients, obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and chief complaints.
• Administer immunizations, medications, injections, and prescribed treatments according to physician orders and state regulations.
• Assist physicians with examinations, minor procedures, and patient treatments.
• Perform specimen collection, point-of-care testing, and other clinical procedures as directed.
• Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate concerns or changes to the provider.
• Educate patients and parents regarding medications, treatment plans, immunizations, and preventive healthcare.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
• Prepare and clean examination rooms while ensuring appropriate medical supplies are stocked.
• Follow infection prevention, OSHA, HIPAA, and pediatric safety guidelines at all times.
• Respond professionally to patient and parent questions while providing outstanding customer service.
• Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
• Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Qualifications:

• Current Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience in a pediatric, family practice, or clinical setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience administering pediatric immunizations and medications preferred.
• Knowledge of pediatric growth, development, and common childhood illnesses.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both children and parents.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and healthcare staff.
• Professional demeanor with a commitment to compassionate, family-centered patient care.

Pediatric Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Preferred Skills:

• Previous experience in a pediatric clinic or pediatric specialty practice.
• Experience with vaccine administration and immunization schedules.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
• Familiarity with pediatric EMR documentation and patient education.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

• Work is performed primarily in a pediatric medical office environment.
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and assisting pediatric patients.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
• Frequent use of computers, EMR systems, and standard medical equipment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while caring for multiple patients.
