Machine Operator – Metals Manufacturing (Immediate Openings)

Full‑time | 2nd & 3rd Shift | Clean Facility | Training Provided | Career Growth Opportunities

We are hiring Machine Operators to support Fin Tube milling operations in a clean, modern metals manufacturing environment. You will set up and run Fin Tube machines, inspect in‑process material, identify defects, record production data, and ensure all work meets strict quality and safety standards. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined individuals who want long‑term stability, hands‑on training, and advancement opportunities within a global organization.

• Set up and operate Fin Tube machines , understanding tube types, dimensions, and defect identification
• Inspect in‑process material and report any product not meeting specifications
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all EHS safety standards, PPE requirements, and equipment safeguarding rules
• Record quality data , scrap counts, and material usage using WFS for accurate inventory tracking
• Perform quality checks , load/unload machines, and consistently lift 40–50 lbs.
• Operate the overhead crane as needed for production support
• Receive full training on all facility‑specific duties and machine processes

• 6+ months of manufacturing experience
• Understanding of measurement math , including decimals and fractions
• Ability to stand for the full shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Machine operating experience or CNC experience
• Knowledge of machine interfaces , including HMI input/output, calibration, programming, and computer‑based production entry
• Ability to troubleshoot tools and identify tube defects during production

• Extremely clean metals manufacturing facility with 33 pieces of equipment and multiple operational processes
• Available shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
  • 3rd Shift: Monday–Friday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
  • Hybrid shift options available
• Shift differentials offered for 2nd and 3rd shift

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, IL.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
