The Production Operator II will contribute to safe plant operations by handling and filling gas products into liquid, medical, and high-pressure gas cylinders in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and meeting the standard operating procedures of Airgas. Required Qualifications: Ability to complete training and achieve certifications for filling all cryogenic liquids and pure industrial gases. Ability to complete FDA, Food Grade, and CGMP Training and achieve certifications Must be able to operate forklift and maintain appropriate forklift certifications. Preferred Qualifications: HS Diploma or equivalent preferred. Minimum of 1 year of prior experience in related manufacturing operation; filling or loading experience preferred Strong background in gas, welding, and safety supply industry or chemical industry preferred Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets. Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines. Strong level of attention to detail. Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentages. The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $24.50/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only.
