Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Details

• Respiratory Care department in a pediatric hospital setting
• Previous experience in a children's-only hospital is preferred
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience required; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred
• RRT credential required
• Active Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner license required (license required if applicable)
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• ACLS certification from AHA required (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
• All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

• Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document treatment responses in the computerized medical record
• Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients across all appropriate age groups
• Serve as a resource person to medical staff and participate as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests
• Responsible for cleaning, maintaining, and ensuring proper operation of respiratory equipment
• Travelers who have previously worked at this facility may only extend once for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation period is required before being eligible for a subsequent contract
• This facility maintains strict compliance deadlines — all onboarding requirements (drug screens, background checks, medical requirements) must be initiated immediately upon booking
