Senior Project Accountant

Required education/experience: Bachelor's degree in related field with 8+ years of project accounting experience directly with a GC, subcontractor, or trades partner within the building construction industry OR combined education and relevant experience Manage project contracts, amendments, insurance requirements, bonds, schedules of values (SOV), project files, and change order documentation to ensure compliance and accurate project administration. Conduct timely and accurate reviews of subcontractor and vendor requisitions, lien waivers, and supporting documentation. Establish and maintain project financial forecasts aligned with internal reporting requirements and client expectations. Lead monthly project forecast reviews, maintaining accurate estimates-to-complete (ETC) projections for labor, expenses, and overall project performance. Monitor and support timely management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and overall project cash flow. Oversee the project financial closeout process, ensuring all documentation, reconciliations, and contractual obligations are completed Preferred education/experience: Bachelors degree in finance or accounting with direct experience as a project accountant for a mid to large size general contractor Build and maintain strong professional relationships with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. Assist with the preparation and maintenance of contract abstracts, summaries, and key project financial information.
