Position SummaryUnder the direction of Physical Therapy Management at Dameron Hospital, the Physical Therapist is responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and administering Physical Therapy services in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. This role ensures that the highest quality of care is provided to patients at all times.The Physical Therapist delivers direct patient care to adult and geriatric populations, including comprehensive assessments, individualized and group treatments, and supervision of Physical Therapy Assistants, support staff, and students. The role also contributes to program development, performance improvement initiatives, and departmental policy updates.The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgment, effective supervisory skills, and excellent communication across departmental lines. Professionalism, integrity, initiative, and adherence to hospital standards of conduct and care are essential. This is a non-union position.FTE 1.0 (5x8s) DayPosition QualificationsAcute care experience preferredGraduate of an accredited baccalaureate or master’s program in Physical TherapyCurrent and valid California Physical Therapist licenseMinimum of two (2) years of relevant experience preferredStrong verbal, written, and organizational skillsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide physical therapy services according to a written individualized plan of carePerform assessments of strength, mobility, gait, range of motion (ROM), and transfer capabilitiesDevelop and implement treatment plans focused on rehabilitation and comfort maintenanceEducate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and equipment useMonitor and report patients' responses to treatment and any condition changes to the physicianParticipate in interdisciplinary care planning, case conferences, and discharge planningSupervise Physical Therapy Assistants, support staff, and students as neededContribute to departmental quality improvement initiativesMaintain timely and accurate documentation of treatment plans, progress notes, and summariesProvide patient and caregiver consultationsSupport staff education and participate in in-service training when needed #J-18808-Ljbffr
