As we grow, we value people ready to grow a career that makes an impact far beyond just our daily workplace.We are seeking someone with a positive attitude who enjoys learning and can handle both equipment yard work as well as light maintenance work.Day in the Life: Equipment Yard AssociateLoading, unloading and moving equipment and keeping it stored correctly and neatly on lotKeep check in/out log with serial numbers and tag numbers for accurate inventory records and daily forklift inspection logsConduct check of equipment fluid levels, ensure proper attachments and manuals are with equipment, and ensure customers/contractors load and secure equipment correctly before it leaves the lotPark equipment with leaks on concrete and ensure fluids are properly caughtInspect yard/building perimeter periodically for repairs or safety issuesNeed to Succeed:Good communication, customer service and excellent attendanceRecent computer skills to learn systems for equipment check in/check out and record keepingEye for safety, attention to detail, ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in the elements (all types of weather)Forklift certification with knowledge of equipment is a plusAbout the BenefitsJoining the team at James River Equipment means you’ll enjoy a wide range of benefits, many of which start on day one of your employment with us.
