PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known engineered industrial components and exhaust systems manufacturing company in Statesville, NC.

We are now hiring Machine Operators who are team players, versatile, and dependable!

Pay: $18.00+ per hour based on experience

Job description: MACHINE OPERATOR
Schedule: 1st shift Monday - Friday **Overtime Saturdays 5:00am-11:00am
Hours: 5:00am-3:30pm

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Learning how to operate various types of machinery for producing exhaust systems.
• Reading previously prepared setup sheets/Bend data sheets for individual parts and ensuring that set-up follows the proper setting on the equipment.
• Conducting quality inspections as required by the written Quality Procedures.
• Completing records of production.
• Moving parts to the subsequent operation.
• Recording scrap or rework reasons
• Following procedures consistently to obtain repeatability.
• Participating in team meetings seeking continuous improvements for the operation.
• Operating hand jacks.

Working Conditions: Non-temperature controlled environment. Steel toed shoes are required. Safety glasses, hearing protection is available. Work gloves, when required, are furnished.

Job Requirements:

• Training and experience - Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, proficiency in shop math (fractions, decimals, metric), ability to read and follow specific routing instructions, ability to read and understand setup instructions, ability to read blueprints, proficiency in the use of appropriate measuring instruments (tape measure, dial calipers, micrometers), ability to check quality of parts against templates.
• Physical requirements – Able to stand for 10 hour shift. Able to bend, twist, stoop to remove parts from baskets and lift to work area. Able to load parts into work area and completed baskets without damaging the part. Good hand and eye coordination.
• Tools – normal hand tools necessary to make minor adjustments to machines such as Allen wrenches, pilers and adjustable wrenches, ball peen hammer, tape measure and scale, and possibly 0” – 3” calipers.

Requirements:

• 1 Year Machine Operator experience required, previous metal work experience a plus.
• Must be able to read blue prints, and be proficient with tape measure.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, squat, stoop, and lift 10 hours per day.
