The Hilton Columbus Polaris, located in the vibrant Polaris Fashion Place District, is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Sous Chef to assist our Executive Chef in managing all aspects of the Food and Beverage department. This includes overseeing our restaurant and bar, 17 Arrows Craft Kitchen and Bar, any banquet functions during your shift and our Executive Lounge. Must have at least 2-3 years experience in a scratch kitchen as a Sous Chef or in a supervisory role. This vital position would assist the Executive Chef in all aspects of managing the kitchen and kitchen personnel, ensuring the quality preparation of all menu items and proper handling/storage of all food items in accordance with standards. This position would also assist in coordinating the purchase of all food and develop menus, maintaining approved food costs and labor costs. The ideal candidate will have open availability.

Here is what you will be doing each day:

As our Executive Sous Chef, you will be working with our team to ensure the delivery of excellent service in accordance with our high standards. You will be working with our culinary, restaurant, and catering teams to achieve Conrad Hilton's vision of spreading the light and warmth of hospitality.

Does this sound like you?

You thrive in fast paced environments, and don't shy away from working hard. You are able to lift up to 30 lbs, and walk/stand for long periods of time. You have a keen eye for detail, and understand the importance of guest experience from the first greeting to closing the check. You feel comfortable addressing conflicts when they arise and making it right for our guests every time. The pride you have in your organizational and time management skills will be a great benefit in this role, and will be heavily utilized while supporting the restaurant operations and launching marketing campaigns. You are looking for some flexibility in a job, so working a variety of different shifts, including days, evenings and weekends works for your personal life.
