Human Resources Training Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Training Manager to join our team at Miccosukee Casino & Resort. In this role, you will lead both in-person and online training programs, champion employee engagement through recognition programs and team events, and keep our team members informed and connected through regular communications.

Miccosukee Casino & Resort is expanding, with completed projects including a new Smoking Room & Bar, a High Limit Slots area, and a VIP Lounge, all designed to enhance the guest experience. Future plans include a lazy river and water park, an over 2,000 capacity entertainment venue, and renovated hotel rooms to become a top South Florida destination.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate in English; bilingual is a plus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent
• 3 to 5 years of casino, gaming, hotel, resort, or hospitality experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License
• 2+ years of supervisory, management, or training experience
• Experience developing and delivering employee training programs, both in-person and online
• Experience using ADP (such as ADP Workforce Now and its learning tools) to build, assign, and track online training courses; experience with other Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus
• Ability to create engaging e-learning content, including presentations, videos, quizzes, and assessments
• Strong knowledge of onboarding, employee development, coaching, and performance improvement
• Experience planning and coordinating employee engagement programs and events, such as recognition programs, rallies, and holiday celebrations
• Strong written communication skills, with experience producing internal communications such as newsletters, announcements, and text/mobile messaging
• Knowledge of casino operations, guest service standards, and hospitality practices
• Familiarity with gaming regulations, compliance, AML/BSA, Title 31, and responsible gaming
• Strong presentation, communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with design or newsletter tools (e.g., Canva) is a plus
• Ability to create training materials, SOPs, assessments, and job aids
• Ability to manage multiple projects, events, and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 casino/hospitality environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed to support training sessions and team member events
• Hospitality or training certifications preferred
• Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines
• Must be able to frequently move freely about the property, maintain manual dexterity to operate job-related equipment, such as telephones, copiers, etc., withstand various activities such as frequent walking, sitting for long periods and withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending and kneeling without restriction
• Be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environmental contaminants including smoke
• Ability to lift or carry a minimum of 20 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks assigned, including event setup
• Must be able to work with others, communicate well, give direction, review the work of others, and provide guidance and counsel when needed to achieve department goals and objectives
• Must maintain a positive attitude toward work and interface with hotel guests in a congenial and polite manner
• Must be able to address stressful situations with clients with dignity and the utmost tact and politeness
• Must be able to touch and handle supplies in a safe and non-hazardous manner, maintaining proper hygiene, cleanliness, and disposal methods

Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Human Resources Training Manager is to design, deliver, and manage training programs, both in-person and online through ADP, while leading employee relations activities and internal communications that build an engaged, informed, and compliant workforce. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Tribal Gaming Agency policies, practices, and procedures.

Training & Development

• Develop, implement, and manage employee training programs
• Conduct new-hire orientation, onboarding, and department-specific training
• Deliver ongoing training on guest service, hospitality standards, and operational procedures
• Ensure employees receive required gaming, compliance, safety, and regulatory training
• Partner with department leaders to identify training and performance needs
• Develop training materials, presentations, SOPs, job aids, and assessments
• Evaluate training effectiveness and make improvements as needed
• Coach and mentor employees and supervisors to support professional development
• Coordinate leadership and career-development programs

Online Training (ADP)

• Create, build, and implement online training courses and learning paths in ADP
• Assign required courses to team members by department, position, or hire date, and manage due dates and reminders
• Convert existing in-person training content into engaging online modules
• Monitor course completion, assessment scores, and certifications through ADP reporting, and follow up with team members and managers on overdue training
• Maintain accurate training records in ADP for audits and regulatory requirements
• Serve as the primary point of contact for team members and managers with questions about online training

Employee Relations & Engagement

• Lead the Employee of the Month program, including managing nominations, coordinating selection, and planning recognition and awards
• Plan, organize, and execute pep rallies and other team member engagement events
• Plan and coordinate holiday parties and seasonal celebrations for team members across all shifts
• Manage event budgets, vendors, supplies, decorations, and logistics
• Partner with department leaders to promote participation and recognize team member achievements
• Gather team member feedback to improve engagement programs and events
• Promote a positive workplace culture that reflects the MICCO way

Employee Communications

• Lead weekly training sessions and communication huddles to share updates, reinforce standards, and keep team members informed
• Write, design, and distribute a monthly team member newsletter featuring company news, recognition, upcoming events, training reminders, and policy updates
• Manage text message communications to team members, including announcements, event reminders, and training notifications, in accordance with company policy and applicable opt-in requirements
• Maintain accurate team member contact lists for communication purposes
• Ensure all communications are clear, timely, consistent, and reach team members on every shift

General

• Stay current on casino regulations, hospitality trends, training best practices, and employee engagement strategies
• Collaborate with HR, Compliance, Operations, and department management
• Promote a culture of exceptional guest service, compliance, and continuous learning

The Casino & Resort will function seven days a week, 24 hours a day. We may find it necessary to reschedule shifts according to our business volume. You must be willing and available to fulfill these demands.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member will be regularly required to walk, stand and sit. The associate will occasionally be required to climb and use balance. Additionally, the team members will frequently be asked to use hands and arms to carry and lift items. Specific vision abilities required to perform this job include close vision and distance vision.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member may experience temperature fluctuations and moderate to high levels of noise. This is a smoking environment.
