About the Role

JusticeWorks YouthCare is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee the daily accounting operations of our multi-state, multi-entity nonprofit organization. This position leads the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions while managing the month-end close process and partnering with the Controller to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
• Five (5) or more years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with payroll systems such as ADP or Paycor preferred.

What You'll Do

• Lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions.
• Supervise and develop accounting team members.
• Manage the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Oversee vendor payments, billing, cash application, and collections.
• Ensure accurate financial records and compliance with internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting operations.
• Support financial audits and collaborate with the Controller on financial reporting.
