About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission Certifications: BCLS Must-Have: EPIC experience required. Must be able to administer insulin and heparin drips. Description: Cross posting of job ID required. RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be accommodated onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Must be able to work holidays and weekends. Possibility of taking care of COVID patients. The traveler will be assigned to an inclement weather team. Target ratios are 1:6-7. Charge role is required for night travelers. Floating to similar units and alternate care locations may occur. Traveler will be assigned to every other weekend. All RTO must be pre-approved. Must work 2 of 3 major holidays. Special procedures include insulin and heparin drips, wound vac dressing changes, and high flow oxygen. No additional training is needed for limited short-term BiPap with respiratory support. No PCU-level patients will be on this unit. Unit systems include PYXIS and EPIC for medication documentation and communication. Must be able to interpret dysrhythmias, manage dysrhythmias, and perform wound care and peripheral line management. Daily census is approximately 43 adults and geriatric patients. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and more. Submission process requires full compliance with testing and documentation.
