Human Resources Intern

Founded in 2011, FRSH is a premiere experienced voice interaction design and development studio focused on building voice skills for Amazon’s Alexa, Google Home, and Microsoft Cortana. With 600+ skills, we help usher businesses into the connected age by branding clients to develop their voice strategies. FRSH uses data-driven expertise and insights to inspire consumers to take meaningful actions every day, and we have worked with leading brands including ESPN, UNICEF, Home Depot, and American Express. Job Description FRSH is looking for a bright and capable Human Resource Intern with high energy who is an extremely organized and detail-oriented leader. You will assist in the recruiting of new applicants, vetting resumes for potential hires, and have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the experiential growth of the team and work cohesively with the members of the FRSH team. Responsibilities Screening resumes and selecting applicants for different roles in every department Communicating with potential hires and scheduling interviews Onboarding new hires and communicating appropriate processes Preparing reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities Sourcing talent in the market through a variety of channels Contributing to university outreach and social media programs Updating essential documents at FRSH given to all employees Qualifications Fluent in English with impeccable written and verbal skills Previous HR experience preferred (previous experience in a startup is a plus) Works best in an environment with many moving parts, and as part of a team Values organization over everything Thrives under pressure and in a fast-paced environment Strives to be an accurate and appropriate example of the first impression of the company Superior verbal skills with the ability to communicate internally and externally, in person, over the phone, and via email Self-starter who is highly motivated and proactive that works well individually as well as collaboratively Ability to multi-task, act with a constant sense of urgency and flexibility in managing changing priorities Quick learner with high attention to detail Proficient in Microsoft Office (Gmail, Word, Excel, and Outlook) Pursuing a BA in Human Resources, Psychology, or related field What FRSH Offers One on one mentoring as well as the opportunity for great responsibility Constant exposure to senior leadership Multiple routes to leadership Real opportunity for accelerated growth Office located in downtown Manhattan This is an unpaid to start but can become a paid internship or a semester-long internship with opportunities for hire or bonus payments, stipend, etc. We offer a flexible schedule of 3‑5 days per week, minimum 23 hours. Candidates can receive college credit for the internship. Qualified graduates will be considered for a full-time position upon completion of a set period of time.
