Kitchen Manager

Job Description Job Description Job Overview (Day Shift) We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented candidate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of food safety standards. We are an Italian market with a commercial kitchen. We make prepared entrees, pasta products, sauces, salads & soups to sell in the market, as well as catering trays. We offer paid benefits for full-time staff after a period of time. Kitchen staff are required to work some Saturdays, No Sundays. Experience in food industry environments is highly valued, along with excellent knife skills. Duties Oversee and prepare daily entrees, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest quality standards. Develop and prepare innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences. Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining a well-organized kitchen environment. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling practices. Train, mentor, and supervise kitchen staff to enhance their culinary skills and efficiency. Monitor kitchen performance and implement improvements as necessary to optimize workflow. Qualifications Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Experience in menu planning and the ability to create diverse and appealing dishes. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively under pressure.
