Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Peoria, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/21/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Telemetry Nurse in the Telemetry specialty, located in the healthcare facility's acute care division, responsible for providing specialized monitoring and nursing care for patients with cardiac or other conditions requiring continuous electronic cardiorespiratory monitoring. The position requires delivering high-quality patient care within a fast-paced environment, adhering to clinical standards and protocols to support patient recovery and safety. Job Details Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated, BLS (American Heart Association) certification, and a minimum of 2 years of related clinical experience. Responsibilities include interpreting telemetry strips, titrating drips (such as Cardizem and heparin), troubleshooting ventilator equipment (Cpap, Bipap), and managing patient care for individuals with diagnoses such as MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, pacemaker/AICD placement, and other lung surgeries. Certifications: BLS, ACLS recommended. Duties: Work within Nurse to Patient ratios of 1:4-5 during days and 1:5-6 during nights, with additional staffing as needed for greater patient care demands. Additional Information: Float to other general medical units may be required. RN's are expected to read and interpret telemetry strips on Phillips monitors. The unit uses EPIC charting system. Submission Requirements: Last four digits of clinician's SSN, active IL license or application confirmation, and understanding of drug-free campus policy.
