Contract | 13 Weeks | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neuro Critical Care ICU setting, including assessment and management of stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Perform and assist with bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Assist with neuro-specific bedside procedures including bolt and drain placements in collaboration with neurosurgery
• Conduct thorough neurological assessments utilizing strong clinical assessment skills
• Manage EVDs and ICP monitoring as required by patient acuity

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN License
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background; strong neuro assessment skills required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring
• Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
