Customer Service Specialist

Position Overview This Customer Service Specialist will handle the clerical and administrative processes involved in managing the Broker’s book of business, covering both renewals and new business. The role is based in the Charlotte, NC office, requires in‑person presence, and does not involve travel, driving for business, or remote work. Responsibilities Examine documents such as application forms, inspection reports, insurance maps, and medical reports to determine risk factors including applicant financial standing, age, occupation, accident experience, and property value and condition. Work with the Broker to ensure all required information is obtained; complete proper applications, confirm quotes and binders in writing; issue policies promptly and accurately; make state filings (where applicable) and pay taxes in accordance with state laws. Provide full assistance and support within the Department. Maintain day‑to‑day account management on accounts. Ensure compliance with Quality Control guidelines. Order inspections and handle them as needed. Verify that coding on specific required forms is completed and utilized. Process endorsements. Foster and improve relationships with other departments, producers, and companies. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. One (1) or more years of successful insurance experience or completion of a bachelor’s degree. Active state insurance license preferred.
