Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact supporting students across multiple educational settings near Hyattsville, MD! Talented Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who are passionate about fostering communication and empowering student growth are encouraged to apply for this rewarding, school-based contract opportunity. This assignment begins August 10th, 2026 and continues through June 9th, 2027, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week across several school locations. Candidates will be matched with sites close to their home ZIP code for optimal convenience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Hold a current Maryland SLP license (or eligibility prior to start date)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFYs) are welcome
- Previous experience in a school setting is highly valued
- Comfortable working onsite (remote/virtual options unavailable)
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, ready to partner with teachers, families, and staff
- Ability to serve a diverse student population, adapt to multiple school environments
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students with a range of communication needs
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and articulate goals and progress
- Implement innovative therapy strategies to enhance language, articulation, and social communication skills
- Collaborate as part of multidisciplinary teams in support of student success
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP meetings
