Position Summary The Inland Procurement Supervisor is responsible for leading procurement and supplier management activities across multiple business departments at GLOVIS America. This role oversees strategic sourcing initiatives, contract administration, vendor performance management, RFx processes, and cost‑saving projects while ensuring supplier compliance, quality, and operational excellence. The position collaborates cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimize procurement strategies and support business growth. Key Qualifications & Skills Required Qualifications Associate Degree required 5–8 years of experience in supplier management, logistics, procurement, or project management Experience managing contracts, vendor relationships, and sourcing activities Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills Preferred Qualifications 6–9 years of experience in supplier management, logistics, procurement, or project management Experience leading contract negotiations and strategic sourcing initiatives Demonstrated experience driving cross‑functional projects and cost‑saving initiatives Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities Knowledge of logistics operations, transportation services, and supplier management Experience with contract administration and compliance management Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word) Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Responsibilities Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for domestic logistics services, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution Manage RFx processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely vendor engagement Identify, evaluate, and select qualified logistics service providers and suppliers Develop and execute negotiation strategies to secure competitive pricing and service agreements Drive procurement planning, accountability, and cost‑saving initiatives across business groups Contract Administration Review, draft, negotiate, and manage supplier contracts and service agreements Ensure contracts align with business objectives, pricing expectations, scope of work, and compliance requirements Collaborate with legal, finance, and operational teams throughout the contract lifecycle Maintain accurate records of contracts, insurance documentation, renewals, and expiration dates Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers Monitor vendor performance using KPIs and operational feedback Develop corrective action plans for underperforming vendors Support and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with suppliers Conduct supplier evaluations and market assessments to improve procurement effectiveness Market Analysis & Reporting Monitor logistics industry trends, market conditions, technology advancements, and regulatory changes Conduct market research to identify sourcing opportunities and operational improvements Prepare reports on vendor performance, procurement initiatives, cost savings, and operational metrics Analyze procurement data to support strategic decision‑making Leadership & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Supervise procurement activities and support staff development Collaborate with operations, sales, finance, and other departments to align procurement strategies with business objectives Support new business implementation initiatives and supplier onboarding processes Ensure supplier compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Benefits 401(k) with Company Match Paid Vacation, Holidays & Sick Time Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Life Insurance, AD&DD, STD & LTD Coverage Hospital & Critical Illness Insurance Tuition Reimbursement* Wellness Program & Gym Reimbursement* Referral & Discretionary Bonus Opportunities* Employee Lunches, Team Building Activities & Appreciation Events* *Benefits may vary by location and company policy.
