Training Specialist

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is hiring a Training Specialist. This role involves developing and facilitating continuous improvement and organizational development initiatives, including process improvement projects and lean six sigma support for the Finance and Operations division. The specialist leads training efforts, applies project management techniques, and ensures alignment with organizational goals. Highlights Develop and facilitate quality and process improvement projects using methodologies such as PDCA, PDSA, RCA, and FMEA. Lead lean six sigma initiatives to support key performance indicators and service quality. Design and deliver training programs including curriculum development, needs assessments, and session evaluations. Collaborate with teams and provide guidance for successful project completion. Requires knowledge of business process improvement, project management, and strong communication skills. Preferred qualifications include 5+ years in training design/delivery, 2+ years project management experience, and lean six sigma green belt certification. Experience with learning management systems, Microsoft Office 365 Suite, Tableau, MadCap Flare, and Storyline preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Must be able to stand for extended training sessions and move furniture for classroom setup.
