QA Automation Engineer

Job Description Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a QA Automation Engineer to join our team in Austin, TX. This is a hybrid position requiring 2 days per week in office (Monday and Tuesday).

QUALIFICATIONS

8+ years of experience in the following areas: Experience with designing automated tests by creating scripts that run data based testing functions automatically Experience prioritizing test scenarios and creating execution plans to implement these scenarios Experience in creating test plans, test cases, and preparing test environments Experience in performing moderately complex functional, application, and regression testing Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and software development methodologies Able to interpret requirement documents and able to update test documents accordingly Strong familiarity with analysis, planning, and management reporting functions Acquires knowledge of the customer’s business in assigned area Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Able to work with customer as needed during test cycle Excellent analytical skills, problem solving, team playing, and oral/written communication skills Proven ability to work successfully with technical and non-technical groups and manage multiple responsibilities

PREFERRED

2+ years of experience in the following areas: Experience working for State level government organizations Familiarity with company’s information architecture and information management technologies Familiarity with the existing and planned software technology and the global, regional, and local software architecture and infrastructure components

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinates and/or performs work on programming projects including those that are highly complex in nature and/or large in scale Coordinates and/or writes test plans and test data Writes complex software code and debugs software Analyzes proposed applications for software regression suites Analyzes, reviews, and revises software to increase operating efficiency or adapt new procedures Prepared detailed analyses, plans, diagrams, and verification procedures for existing and proposed applications Link Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
