Scrum Master - Automation Standards Onboarding (Executive Summary)

Role Purpose


Lead engineering teams in the rapid onboarding and adoption of enterprise automation standards , driving high-velocity execution , same-day sprint capabilities , and scalable rollout across multiple teams . This role is critical to accelerating automation maturity, improving operational efficiency, and reducing time to remediation and deployment.


Key Accountabilities

High-Velocity Agile Execution

• Enable same-day / micro-sprint delivery models with rapid backlog prioritization
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies optimized for speed, throughput, and quick feedback loops
• Drive continuous delivery and measurable progress in compressed timelines

utomation Standards Onboarding

• Lead structured onboarding of utomation frameworks, tools, and standards
• Execute repeatable onboarding playbooks to ensure consistency and scale
• Partner with Architecture, Platform, and Security to align with enterprise requirements

Multi-Team Enablement

• Coordinate onboarding across multiple concurrent engineering teams
• Manage dependencies, risks, and cross-team alignment
• Stand up scalable frameworks (e.g., Scrum of Scrums) to support parallel execution

Impediment Removal & Optimization

• Proactively identify and remove blockers to ccelerate adoption and delivery
• Drive continuous improvement focused on cycle time reduction and efficiency gains
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and rapid iteration

Metrics & Visibility

• Track and report on:
  • Time-to-onboard automation standards
  • Sprint velocity and cycle time (including same-day completion)
  • Team adoption rates and automation coverage
• Provide clear, data-driven updates to leadership

Experience & Qualifications

• 5 years as a Scrum Master / Agile Lead in engineering environments
• Demonstrated success in:
  • High-speed Agile delivery models (same-day or rapid sprints)
  • Scaling practices across multiple teams simultaneously
• Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Proven ability to lead large-scale onboarding or transformation initiatives

The individual will facilitate and coordinate all of the agile ceremonies and oversee the building of the Agile teams backlog.

Shift: ['Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience). 8 years supporting software delivery in an Agile role (e.g., Scrum Master, Agilist, Delivery Lead, Agile Coach). Strong facilitation skills for ceremonies and workshops; ability to drive clear outcomes. Hands-on knowledge of Scrum and/or Kanban, including backlog refinement and flow concepts (WIP, aging work). Comfort partnering with engineers in a technical SDLC environment (environments, releases, delivery constraints). Data-driven improvement using delivery/quality metrics (e.g., cycle time, throughput, defects; DORA concepts where applicable). Strong communication and stakeholder management across technical and non-technical audiences. Proficiency with Agile tooling (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow) to support transparency and reporting. Working knowledge of AI/GenAI concepts in a software delivery context, including practical use of approved AI assistants and an understanding of limitations (hallucinations, bias, security/privacy risks) and validation approaches. Experience operating within technology governance frameworks (architecture standards, SDLC controls, risk management) and partnering with Security/Compliance to implement pragmatic guardrails. Preferred Experience supporting delivery across multiple software teams (program/portfolio coordination, quarterly planning, dependency management). Value stream/flow optimization (mapping, bottleneck analysis, end-to-end lead time reduction). Working knowledge of DevOps/DevSecOps practices (CI/CD, observability, release strategies, integrating security/compliance). Experience partnering with SRE/Operations on reliability practices (incident reviews, operational readiness). Ability to influence leaders, drive change, and build/lead communities of practice. Advanced delivery analytics and dashboarding; enterprise tooling configuration experience is a plus. Experience enabling AI-assisted SDLC practices at scale (playbooks, training, office hours/community of practice, measurement) and coaching teams on effective prompting and verification techniques. Familiarity with responsible AI principles and controls (data privacy, security, IP considerations, model/tool approval processes, human-in-the-loop review, and auditability) in enterprise environments. Experience integrating AI tools into common SDLC toolchains (e.g., Jira/ServiceNow workflows, CI/CD pipelines, code review practices, test automation, and knowledge management platforms) to improve flow and quality. Agile certifications (e.g., CSM/PSM, KMP, SAFe SSM/SPC, ICP-Client/ICP-ATF) are a plus.']
