Registered Nurse Labor and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Labor and Delivery RN provides specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. This role involves coordinating patient care, monitoring fetal and maternal health, and supporting families through childbirth.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess and monitor fetal and maternal physiological status during labor and delivery.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with medical teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Administer medications and interventions as prescribed to support labor progress and maternal comfort.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and families about labor, delivery, postpartum care, and postpartum recovery.
  
  
• 
  Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Adapt to floating between multiple facilities, maintaining high standards of care across different environments.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an unencumbered Oregon RN license effective upon submission.
  
  
• 
  Maintain Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Obtain AHA ACLS, NRP, and NIHSS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Possess at least 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience, including labor management, fetal monitoring, postpartum care, and delivery support.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate proficiency in Epic electronic health records system.
  
  
• 
  Verification of high school diploma or GED required to meet CAP requirements.
