Job Summary

The Senior Warehouse Lead is the most experienced Lead at the facility and takes on a coordinating role across the other Leads (e.g., inbound and outbound) in addition to standard Team Lead duties. This role flexes to cover for Clerks, Leads, or the Supervisor when any of them are out, helping close operational gaps wherever they arise. It supports Management with day-to-day warehouse operations, ensures Leads and their crews meet productivity, quality, and safety targets, and acts as the primary point of continuity on the floor when the Supervisor or Manager is unavailable.

Compensation

Starting at $22.00 / hour.

Responsibilities

• Interact with, motivate, and regularly communicate goals and results to the team.
• Run day-to-day warehouse operations to meet customer and operational targets, including productivity, KPIs, and quality standards.
• Train new warehouse operatives and monitor performance to ensure targets are met.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and correct recording of stock movements.
• Identify systems or process improvements and help implement them; resolve floor issues where possible, escalating when appropriate.
• Ensure health and safety standards are met, including risk assessments and safe manual handling of products and equipment.
• Maintain equipment upkeep, warehouse security, and a clean, organized working environment.
• Coordinate priorities and coverage across inbound and outbound Leads, stepping in to align workload when one area is short-staffed or behind target.
• Flex to cover Clerk, Lead, or Supervisor duties as needed when any of those roles are out, to keep operations running without gaps.
• Act as the senior point of contact on the floor and provide coverage in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor, as directed by Management.
• Report progress updates, key achievements, and any concerns to the Warehouse Supervisor and/or Manager.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Lead or Senior Lead, in a 3PL (third-party logistics) warehouse, required.
• Strong computer skills, including reporting and WMS proficiency; customer service and account manager experience required.
• Forklift experience (sit-down, stand-up, cherry picker, or reach) and RF scan gun proficiency.
• Reliable personal transportation required — this role is on-site only and must consistently support an 8:00 AM start.
• Strong communication skills; able to coordinate across multiple teams/Leads and flex into Clerk or Supervisor duties as needed.
