Miami Shores FL (In-Person)
Full-Time | $36,000 -$40,000/year + Benefits
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate HIV Testing & Outreach Specialist to support our HIV Testing and Linkage Program. This role focuses on community outreach, testing services, client education, and linkage to care , helping individuals access critical health resources.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about public health, community engagement, and making a direct impact .
HIV Testing & Client Services
- Provide HIV and STD testing , outreach, and education services
- Conduct pre- and post-test counseling on HIV/STD prevention, transmission, and care
- Collect oral specimens and complete lab documentation
Client Coordination & Support
- Manage client flow and ensure a positive, professional experience
- Schedule and maintain appointments for testing services
- Link HIV-positive clients to medical care and community resources
- Support clients in maintaining access to medication and ongoing care
Outreach & Education
- Conduct community outreach , including evening/night events
- Promote awareness and education around HIV prevention and testing
Documentation & Compliance
- Accurately complete assessments, case notes, and lab requisitions
- Assist with data entry and monthly reporting
- Follow all universal safety precautions and program protocols
Team Collaboration
- Participate in staff meetings and ongoing training
- Support program goals and quality standards
What We’re Looking For
- Certified HIV Counselor with HIV 500 & 501 certifications (required)
- Experience in HIV testing, outreach, or public health programs preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented with solid documentation skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, community-based environment
- Willingness to work evenings/nights for outreach events
