Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM; 36 or 48-hour weekly contracts; every other weekend required; holiday coverage required

Highlights:

• Med/Surg and Telemetry unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of approximately 43
• Patient ratio of 1:6 with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Contract lengths of 13–26 weeks available; first-time travelers welcome with 2 years of acute care experience
• Experience with heparin drips, high-flow oxygen, and short-term BiPAP support; Epic charting and Pyxis medication system
• 24-hour orientation provided; navy and white scrubs required
• Float requirements as needed within skillset to similar units; call coverage as needed

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina or Compact State RN license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry
• CPI certification preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred for night shift positions
• Must pass EKG competency testing prior to start date
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Experience with Epic charting system preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, IV therapy, central line management, and general medical-surgical nursing skills

• Strict attendance policy enforced; requested time off must be pre-approved before contract signing
• Float expectations include inpatient boarding in the emergency department as needed
