As a Security Officer Access Control - Overnights in Rock Island, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, helping manage entry points, verify credentials, and monitor site activity. In this role, you will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and document the entry and exit of personnel, vehicles, and/or deliveries at the location, checking credentials, identification, and/or shipment information in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through appropriate site contacts and reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, gate areas, trailer yards, loading zones, and perimeter, as conditions at the location may vary.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, completing required reports, and communicating clearly with site personnel regarding unusual activity, access issues, and/or policy questions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
