Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This contract opportunity for Special Education Teachers offers two roles: one serving elementary students, and the other supporting at the secondary level. Both positions involve caseloads of approximately 10 students, allowing you to deliver targeted instruction and meaningful engagement. You’ll work full-time (35-40 hours weekly) on-site—not virtually—ensuring students receive the benefit of your skills and personal interaction.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Low-Incidence Special Education Teacher license (must be current and included with application).
• Experience supporting students with significant disabilities in elementary or secondary settings.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
• Commitment to working in-person, as remote instruction is not available.

Expectations in the Role:

• Serve as the primary instructor for a caseload of around 10 students, focusing on functional and academic skills development.
• Design and adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet a wide variety of learning needs.
• Collaborate closely with general education staff, families, and support professionals.
• Collect and analyze progress data; participate in IEP meetings and professional development.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment for all learners.

This contract begins August 11, 2026, and runs through May 19, 2027, offering the opportunity to see your students grow throughout the academic year.
