Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Make a difference in the lives of students with significant disabilities in a supportive school environment near Wichita, KS. This full-time contract opportunity is available for both elementary and secondary Special Education Teachers, focusing on small caseloads of around 10 students each. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 academic year (August 11, 2026, to May 19, 2027).

Required Qualifications:

• Valid and current low-incidence teaching license (must be active prior to submission)
• Previous experience working with students with significant disabilities is highly preferred
• Knowledge of specialized instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, parents, and administration
• Must be available for onsite, in-person instruction—no virtual positions available

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals for elementary or secondary students
• Develop, implement, and monitor appropriate educational strategies to foster student success and independence
• Maintain accurate records and documentation, including progress monitoring and legal compliance for case management
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and other service providers
• Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
• Ensure a safe, respectful, and nurturing classroom environment tailored to diverse learning needs
