Sales associate

Position type: hourly. Starting pay: $11.85. We are looking for part‑time Sales Associates who are passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and driving sales in a fast‑paced retail environment. Responsibilities Greet and promptly assist customers, acknowledging them immediately and handling multiple customers efficiently. Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing them to merchandise, and offering recommendations. Engage in suggestive selling while staying informed on product availability. Promote store events and promotions to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales. Resolve customer concerns by addressing issues and providing alternative solutions, aiming to convert returns into exchanges when possible. Communicate needs to management, including restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner. Support team goals by collaborating with coworkers to achieve store and company objectives. Qualifications Minimum age 16 years. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as required. Comfortable with or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, handheld and mobile devices. Excellent communication skills to engage with customers and handle potential issues professionally. Basic information‑gathering skills to solve problems. Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on‑the‑job training. Essential Job Functions Operate cash register frequently. Move merchandise weighing up to 25 lbs and place/remove it up to a height of 5–10 feet. Ascend/descend ladders to retrieve and put away stock. Kneel, bend, twist, and stoop in the stock room and on the sales floor. Communicate and exchange information with customers and coworkers by telephone and in person. Assist customers across the sales floor and between the stock room and the shop front. Execute a flexible schedule, including overnight shifts and travel as required. Identify and follow printed or electronic instructions regarding merchandise layouts, schedules, and standard operating procedures. Remain seated or upright for 80percent of the time.
