Staff Psychiatrist, CF - California Health Care Facility (CHCF)

Position Overview Staff Psychiatrist, CF (SAFETY) located at California Health Care Facility (CHCF) in Stockton, CA (San Joaquin County). Responsibilities Under the general direction of the Senior Psychiatrist (Sup), member of an Interdisciplinary Treatment Team providing general population outpatient services to inmates. Perform psychiatric evaluations. Participate in treatment planning and case reviews. Prescribe medications. Provide crisis intervention and psychotherapy. Provide consultations and training in treatment approaches to clinical and custody staff. Compensation and Benefits Classification under Section 5, Hiring-Above-Minimum Authorization; authorized HAM rate: P $30,259.00, Q $31,136.00. Recruitment and Retention Bonus may be available for clinicians newly hired within CCHCS. Effective July 1, 2023, employees physically located at and assigned to direct in‑person patient care at a facility receive a 15% pay differential of monthly base pay. Eligibility requires treating patients in‑person more than 50% of the pay period. Potential one‑time recruitment and retention stipend of $10,000, and monthly differential totaling $5,000 during the first year. Potential referral bonus of $5,000 for CDCR/CCHCS employees after 90 days of employment. Additional Information This is a limited‑term position that may be extended or become permanent.
