Structured Credit & Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) Associate AttorneyDirect Counsel is seeking a Structured Credit & Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) Associate Attorney to join the Global Finance practice of a premier Am Law firm. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a nationally recognized structured credit team representing leading asset managers, equity investors, investment banks, and commercial banks in sophisticated CLO and structured finance transactions.The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in securitization, structured finance, or other transactional finance matters, or possess strong transactional experience with a demonstrated interest in building a practice focused on collateralized loan obligations and structured credit.ResponsibilitiesRepresent asset managers, equity investors, investment banks, commercial banks, and other financial institutions in collateralized loan obligation (CLO) and structured credit transactions.Assist with the structuring, negotiation, and execution of complex securitization and structured finance transactions.Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, financing agreements, and related structured finance documentation.Advise clients on innovative financing structures involving CLOs, private credit, and other structured finance products.Serve as a key member of transaction teams, managing significant aspects of transactions from due diligence through closing.Collaborate with attorneys across the Global Finance practice to develop practical, business-focused solutions for sophisticated financing matters.QualificationsJ.D. from an accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.3+ years of experience in securitization, structured finance, or other transactional finance matters at a law firm.Experience with private credit, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), fund finance, NAV-based facilities, or subscription line credit facilities is preferred.Strong drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple sophisticated transactions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.Active bar admission, or eligibility for admission, in the jurisdiction where the candidate will be based.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: Starting at $260,000, with compensation commensurate with class year and experience.Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and additional employee wellness benefits.This is an exceptional opportunity for a finance attorney to join a market-leading Global Finance practice handling cutting-edge structured credit and CLO transactions for some of the world's most prominent financial institutions and asset managers.
