Role Description The Assistant Property Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Portland, OR. This position supports the Property Manager in overseeing day-to-day property operations, including tenant relations, lease administration, rent collection, and coordination of maintenance and repairs. The role involves responding to resident inquiries, managing service requests, assisting with property inspections, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations. The Assistant Property Manager also contributes to budget tracking, reporting, and vendor coordination, while maintaining accurate records and documentation. Collaboration with internal teams and vendors to uphold safety, cleanliness, and community standards is an essential part of the role. Qualifications Experience in property management, real estate, or a related field, with an understanding of lease administration and tenant relations. Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on professional, courteous interactions with residents, owners, and vendors. Basic financial and administrative skills, such as handling payments, tracking expenses, and maintaining accurate records. Proficiency with office software and property management systems, and comfort learning new digital tools. Ability to work on-site in Portland, OR, with reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer service. Experience in maintenance coordination or facilities support is beneficial; knowledge of fair housing laws and local housing regulations is a plus.
