Position: Admissions Coordinator Full‑time, hourly rate: $26.45 - $28.90 Location: Turning Point Adult Treatment Center, Seattle, WA Organized within a residential treatment facility for adults diagnosed with a substance use disorder. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain general daily operation of admissions. Answer telephone calls, screen calls, provide information and referrals, schedule admissions, and receive payments. Manage current information regarding community resources. Assist Program Director with bookkeeping and financial duties, arrange patient financial contracts, and act as liaison between patients, the facility, and insurance companies. Oversee food ordering and ensure Department of Health standards are met. Report problems to the Director and/or administrator. Serve as primary contact for incoming referrals, ensuring accurate and complete admission paperwork and meeting criteria for admission. Conduct admissions for new patients and complete required federal, state and local forms on time. Monitor problem‑oriented record system, Cerner reports, patient surveys, county/state/federal reports, weekly reports to referents, and submit to Administrator. Assist, supervise, orient, and document all other items as listed in WAC 246‑341. Maintain professional standards and follow facility treatment policies, federal, state and local regulations, especially WAC 246‑341 requirements. Coordinate and cooperate with staff from other agencies to expedite treatment placement. Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles. Identify and categorize each patient’s age‑specific grouping of needs. Administer tracking system for intakes to identify incoming patients and notify referral agencies. Maintain positive relationships with referral agencies and providers. Experience and Skills Typing speed of 50 words per minute. Proficiency with Word Processing, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals, and write routine reports and correspondence. Effective verbal communication skills with clients or employees. Problem‑solving skills and flexibility in situations with limited standardization. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms. Familiarity with managed care organizations.
