Job Responsibilities

• Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients utilizing both established assessments and observational methods.
• Create customized treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and lasting needs related to communication, cognition, or swallowing.
• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions concentrating on fluency, voice, language, and swallowing capabilities.
• Work in tandem with physical and occupational therapists, nursing staff, medical personnel, caregivers, and family members to devise integrated care plans.
• Provide education to patients and families to encourage progress during and beyond clinical hours.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless care throughout the healing process.
• Maintain meticulous and punctual documentation in line with state, federal, and organizational mandates.
• Engage in ongoing learning and collaboration with peers to remain at the forefront of speech-language pathology developments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not ASHA-certified yet.

Certifications

• Active state license as a Speech Language Pathologist .
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first month of employment.
