Position Summary:

Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys solving complex financial challenges, strengthening processes, and ensuring accuracy and compliance?

Join our team as an Accounting Administrator and play a key role in supporting EOCF's financial operations and integrity. In this position, you will oversee accounting and compliance functions including grant cash management, procurement, accounts receivable and billing, financial reporting, and audit readiness. You will work collaboratively across the agency to interpret fiscal requirements, monitor financial activity, resolve complex issues, and help safeguard the financial resources that support EOCF's programs and mission.

Compensation & Schedule:

This is a regular full-time, benefitted position budgeted for 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday. The wage for this non-exempt position is $39.00–$41.00 per hour, depending on qualifications.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.

An equivalent combination of relevant education and progressively responsible accounting experience may be considered.

Required Experience

Six years of progressively responsible professional accounting experience, including experience with general-ledger accounting, financial reporting, payroll, audits, and grant-funded operations.

Preferred Experience

Nonprofit or governmental fund-accounting experience.

Supervisory or accounting team leadership experience.

Knowledge of

Advanced accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, nonprofit and fund accounting, internal controls, cost allocation, and financial reporting.

Federal grant administration and compliance, including Uniform Guidance, allowable costs, cash management, financial reporting, audit requirements, and grant closeout.

Accounts payable and receivable, procurement, cash management, general-ledger accounting, payroll tax reporting, and month-end and year-end processes.

Financial, grant, and regulatory audit processes and maintaining accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records.

Computerized accounting systems, Microsoft Excel and Word, and financial reporting and data-analysis tools.

Ability to

Manage complex accounting functions including accounts receivable, billing, procurement, grant cash management, reconciliations, financial reporting, and payroll tax reporting.

Interpret and apply accounting standards, grant requirements, contracts, regulations, and agency policies to fiscal operations and procedures.

Analyze financial activity, budgets, and grant performance; identify discrepancies, variances, and compliance risks; and independently research and resolve complex fiscal issues.

Maintain strong internal controls, accurate and confidential financial records, and audit-ready documentation.

Independently manage competing priorities and deadlines while consistently producing accurate, high-quality work.

Provide functional leadership, coordinate accounting workflows, strengthen fiscal policies and procedures, and support cross-training and continuity within the Fiscal team.

Communicate complex financial and compliance information clearly to employees, leadership, auditors, funding agencies, and other stakeholders.

Collaborate across departments, exercise sound professional judgment, recommend process improvements, and support the agency's financial and organizational objectives.
