Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Area Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic tech-focused location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this people-first role, you will support daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact each shift.

Pay Rate: $26.73 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, lobbies, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor access procedures, and report maintenance, property, and/or security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
Support access control and after-hours building protocols while maintaining a professional presence and providing assistance to employees, contractors, and/or guests.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
