As a Security Officer Unarmed Screening Patrol in San Jose, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report security-related concerns, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations to the appropriate personnel.
• Support site operations by maintaining accurate activity logs, completing incident reports, and assisting with directions, escorts, and other customer service needs during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
