This role owns defined desktop engineering platforms and initiatives, ensuring services are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational standards.The Manager works closely with cross-functional partners across Information Security, Infrastructure, Networking, and User Support to execute platform enhancements, maintain operational stability, and support modernization efforts that improve end user experience and reduce risk.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Endpoint Platform OwnershipOwn the day-to-day delivery and evolution of assigned end user computing platforms, including: Windows and macOS endpointsVirtual desktop platforms (e.g., Windows 365)Application deployment, patching, and lifecycle managementEndpoint configuration and management standardsEnsure platforms operate reliably, securely, and at scale through proactive maintenance and oversightSecurity, Compliance & RiskPartner with Information Security to implement and sustain: Endpoint security baselinesDevice compliance and access controlsHardening standards and remediation actionsSupport internal, regulatory, and audit requirements related to endpoint environmentsParticipate in investigation and remediation of endpoint-related security events and incidentsEngineering Standards & AutomationMaintain engineering standards for builds, configurations, deployments, scripting, and documentationDrive improvements in efficiency and quality through automation and tooling (e.g., PowerShell, Intune capabilities)Contribute to efforts to modernize endpoint management and reduce reliance on legacy processes and toolsProject & Initiative DeliveryExecute desktop engineering initiatives such as OS upgrades, security enhancements, platform changes, and new technology rolloutsPlan, execute, and coordinate assigned projects or workstreams, including testing, scheduling, and stakeholder communicationBalance project delivery with operational responsibilities to ensure platform stabilityCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with: End User Support to improve supportability and reduce recurring issuesInfrastructure and Networking teams on dependencies and integrationsTraining and Knowledge teams to support documentation and user readinessCommunicate platform changes, timelines, risks, and dependencies clearly to impacted stakeholdersContinuous Improvement & QualitySupport structured testing and pilot programs for platform changes and upgradesIncorporate feedback, incident reviews, and lessons learned into future improvementsMaintain accurate documentation, runbooks, and configuration records to support operational consistencyEnterprise AI ToolingDeploy, configure, and support the firm’s enterprise AI assistants, including Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, and Claude EnterpriseProvide hands-on support and troubleshooting for end users adopting AI solutionsStay current on AI tool capabilities and feature changes to guide safe, effective, and Who You Are: Strong experience with enterprise end user computing and desktop engineering platformsStrong troubleshooting skills for complex desktop, application, and deployment issuesAbility to own complex technical areas and deliver outcomesBachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experienceSeven or more years of experience in desktop engineering, endpoint management, or end user computing roles in an enterprise environmentExperience supporting OS upgrades, security initiatives, and platform modernization effortsPrior responsibility for platform or service ownership strongly preferredRelevant technical certifications preferred but not requiredSolid understanding of endpoint security, compliance, and risk considerationsOrganized and execution-focused, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and prioritiesProject management skills and experience coordinating technical workstreams a plusClear communicator with both technical and non-technical partners#LI-MS1Benefits and MoreAt Goodwin, you will discover your next career opportunity with a rewarding compensation package and comprehensive benefits, including:Health, dental, and vision insuranceLife and disability insuranceRetirement & Savings PlanEmergency back-up child and adult carePaid vacation, sick time off, and holidaysProfessional development and career advancement opportunitiesEmployee recognition and reward programsEmployee wellness and assistance programsEmployee discounts and perksThis position is eligible for overtime: NoThe Target Salary Range For This Position Varies By Location And Is Commensurate With Relevant Experience: $160,000.00 - $210,000.00SummaryLocation: Silicon Valley; Los Angeles; San Francisco; Santa MonicaType: Full time
