Accounts Payable Specialist

Superior is currently seeking anAccounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Lafayette, LA. The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance within Accounts Payable department. Duties and Responsibilities: Processing of vendor invoices for multiple business units Ensure appropriate coding on invoices, monitoring internal controls Establish vendor relations ensuring invoices are received and processed efficiently Perform special projects as needed Liaise with management and other team members to address potential system problems Qualifications: Ability to collaborate effectively while working with others Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with vendors and team members Must possess strong interpersonal skills to interact and work alongside others Must possess organizational and time management skills Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office Excel Accurately complete and maintain necessary records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and deadlines Education: High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) required Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience Equivalent combination of experience and/or training Excellent Benefits Medical Dental Vision Disability Life Matching 401(k) We are an Affi­rmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employer that does not discriminate against any job applicant because of race, religion, national origin, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
