Do you like variety, precision, and leaving on time?
Picture this: It’s first shift in Grand Rapids. You move from one short-run job to the next, setting up a CNC lathe, swapping tools, tweaking offsets, and calling the right program—then verifying every feature with your gauges, calipers, and micrometers. You keep production flowing without sacrificing quality, and you clock out by 3:30 p.m.—no weekends.
Role snapshot- Operate a CNC lathe in a small-batch, job shop environment
- Perform multiple set-ups during each shift
- Handle tool changes and adjust offsets for accuracy
- Change programs to match each part run
- Validate dimensions using gauges, calipers, and micrometers
- 2+ years of CNC lathe machining experience
- Demonstrated skill with tool changes and offsets
- Flexibility to support other areas when needed
- Location: Grand Rapids
- Schedule: 1st shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday–Friday
- Weekends: None
- Compensation: $21–$25 per hour, depending on experience
