Job Opportunity – Medical/Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 9, 2026

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day shift 0700-1930, Night shift 1900-0730) with every other weekend rotation and holidays as needed. 20 hours of orientation provided.

• 28-bed acute care Medical/Telemetry unit with daily census of 28-29 patients
• EPIC charting system utilized throughout the facility

• Fast-paced environment caring for adults and geriatric patients with complex medical diagnoses
• General Internal Medicine focus with specialty care for infectious disease patients as part of Special Pathogens program
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more

Requirements:

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
• BLS certification (AHA ONLY)
• Minimum of two years of acute care experience within the last three years in medical/telemetry specialty
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry exam prior to start with strict passing criteria (80% overall, 100% on lethal rhythms, zero tolerance on 3rd degree heart blocks)
• Ability to float to like units as needed
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)

Essential Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams
• Central line, PICC line, and peripheral line care/management
• IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips
• Blood product administration
• Non-invasive airway management and oxygen administration
• Isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
