Avalon-National Distribution Relationship Manager

Avalon-National Distribution Relationship Manager Avalon Risk Management is seeking an experienced insurance distribution professional to grow our national network of specialist agencies and brokerages. You will deepen multifamily relationships while recruiting and activating new commercial real estate and hospitality partners, building high-value partnerships that drive profitable growth. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop a national distribution strategy across commercial real estate, hospitality, and multifamily markets. Recruit, evaluate, appoint, onboard, train, and activate specialist insurance agencies and brokerages. Own partner relationships and joint business plans across Avalon’s existing and growing agency network. Generate qualified new business aligned with Avalon’s underwriting appetite and growth goals. Monitor pipeline, submissions, conversion, revenue, retention, and overall partner quality. Educate partners on Avalon’s value proposition, products, underwriting appetite, and submission expectations. Maintain accurate CRM reporting, share market intelligence, and represent Avalon at market visits and industry events. REQUIREMENTS 5+ years of experience in commercial P&C insurance distribution, agency development, wholesale insurance, MGA business development, or a related role. Proven success developing, appointing, activating, and growing independent agency or brokerage relationships. Strong consultative-selling, negotiation, presentation, networking, and relationship-management skills. Established relationships with specialist commercial real estate, hospitality, and/or multifamily brokerages preferred. Strong knowledge of commercial property insurance, distribution channels, underwriting appetite, broker placement, and agency appointments. Strong CRM, organizational, and analytical skills; ability to manage a national portfolio and travel monthly.
