Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients across various settings, ensuring safety, support, and recovery. Supervises nursing staff, collaborates with interdisciplinary teams, and implements treatment plans to promote mental health and well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct psychiatric nursing care according to established standards and patient needs.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of nursing staff to ensure efficient care delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members, patients, and families to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, medications, and coping strategies.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care for patients.
• Evaluate patient progress and modify care approaches as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Possess a minimum of one year of recent psychiatric nursing experience.
• Maintain current BLS certification; CPI certification preferred and can be obtained on-site.
• Have at least two years of recent nursing experience in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrate strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Be committed to patient safety, confidentiality, and compassionate care.
