Qualifications and Experience
- Current valid license as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience delivering PT services in a school environment preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric therapy techniques and relevant protocols
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt and tailor therapy activities to individual student IEPs and learning abilities
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized PT goals and treatment plans as part of the IEP process
- Deliver direct therapy sessions, both one-on-one and in group settings
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of services provided and progress made
- Consult and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff regarding student goals and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, sharing expertise and recommendations
- Support students in accessing their educational environments safely and successfully
