Job Description\n GHG Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Med Surg\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 13 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours, rotating\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2236.72\n \n Opportunity:\n RN - Medical/Surgical (Acute Care)\n Job Details:\n • 12-hour rotating day/night shifts with weekends scheduled as needed (typically 1 out of every 2 weekends)\n • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratios up to 1:7\n • 30-bed acute care unit\n • No on-call or standby requirement\n • Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract\n • Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, rule-out cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI\n • Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results\n • Telemetry monitoring available on unit, watched remotely by monitor technicians\n • Intermittent BiPAP used on unit (no ventilators)\n • PCTs/nurse aides available on the unit\n • Charge RN on the floor with assignment\n • Floating required as needed based on census - travel nurses are floated first\n • Charting system: EPIC\n • BSN not required\n • Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS\n • Scrub color: Navy Blue\n • Must reside outside of 50-mile radius - copy of unexpired driver's license required at submission\n Facility:\n This acute care facility operates a 30-bed medical/surgical unit providing comprehensive inpatient care for a wide range of conditions. The unit is supported by PCTs, remote telemetry monitoring technicians, and a dedicated charge nurse.
