Territory Account ManagerThis position is within our fast paced Operations department, working closely with contracted customers to secure loads and plan them on our trucks to maximize productivity and profitability.You might be a great fit if:You enjoy a challenging and fast-paced environmentYou're organized and not intimidated by (sometimes lengthy) to-do listsYou have attention to detail, you're motivated by helping people and making their lives better,You can manage and prioritize multiple initiatives at once while still meeting deadlines,You deal positively with obstacles and failures in pursuit of challenging goals,You're a highly motivated, self-starter and consider yourself a life-long learnerWhy Melton?Solicit freight from contracted customersCoordinate with our Inside Sales and iTech groups to secure loadsEnter loads into AS400 system, timely and correctlySchedule pickup appointments with customers to ensure most efficient transitCreate and maintain customer, shipper and consignee profilesMaintain daily communication with Inside Sales and Regional Sales Reps of truck/load balancesLoad all available trucks in your territory with minimum downtimeCoordinate loads to get drivers home for scheduled time-offCoordinate closely with bordering territory managers to ensure all trucks are loaded and all customer freight is covered each dayProvide accurate load instructions and directions to customer shipping locations for our driversQualification Requirements:Education/Experience: High school diploma and 2 years fast paced customer service experience.
