MindWell Psychiatric Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team in New York City. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations to accurately diagnose mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and bipolar disorder.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, taking into account the unique circumstances of each patient and utilizing evidence-based methodologies.
• Prescribe, manage, and monitor psychotropic medications, ensuring to recognize any side effects or interactions and adjusting treatment as necessary.
• Deliver psychotherapy and counseling, employing varied therapeutic approaches including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT).
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize treatment strategies, ensuring comprehensive support for patients.
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment modalities, and coping strategies to empower them in their journey.
• Document patient progress meticulously, analyzing responses to treatments and making data-driven adjustments to care plans when necessary.
• Conduct regular follow-up appointments to assess treatment effectiveness, address concerns, and implement modifications to enhance outcomes.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and continuous education opportunities to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to all ethical and legal standards concerning confidentiality and patient rights.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clinic serves a diverse patient population, including adolescents and adults grappling with various mental health challenges, from mood disorders to complex psychiatric conditions. Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing and hold a current Nurse Practitioner license. You should have a strong foundation in psychiatric mental health as evidenced by completed coursework and clinical training. Additionally, current certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) is required.

Preferred Experience

We prefer candidates with a minimum of 3 years experience in a psychiatric setting, particularly those who have worked in outpatient or concierge care environments. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is essential to streamline patient documentation and care coordination.

Compensation and Benefits
