Work Environment

As a Nurse Practitioner at the Jewish Community Health Center, you will operate within a collegial and supportive atmosphere. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and administrative support staff. With no night shifts or weekend responsibilities, you will enjoy a balanced work-life harmony, making your weekdays from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, highly manageable.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Work alongside experienced cardiologists to provide comprehensive care to a range of patients.
• Assume responsibility for managing and treating patients with conditions such as hypertension and high cholesterol.
• Offer outpatient Electrophysiology services, addressing issues like abnormal electrocardiograms and arrhythmias.
• Provide care for patients suffering from acute cardiological conditions, including Coronary Artery Disease, Peripheral Artery Disease, Congestive Heart Failure, Valve Heart Disease (VHD), and stroke/transient ischemic attacks.
• Conduct necessary stress tests to assess cardiovascular health outcomes within your patient population.
• Engage in consultations and receive mentorship from on-site cardiologists, strengthening your clinical skills and knowledge.
• Perform thorough patient history assessments and physical examinations, and prescribe medications based on clinical needs.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed, ensuring seamless patient transitions within the healthcare continuum.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatment plans, and preventive measures, fostering a comprehensive understanding of their health journeys.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily involve caring for a varied patient demographic, with an emphasis on those facing cardiovascular issues. You will engage with both long-time patients and new clients, providing continuity of care within outpatient settings while building rapport and trust through our concierge service model. With a focus on accessibility and personalized care, you will play a crucial role in managing chronic conditions, optimizing their health outcomes, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with a valid and current nurse practitioner license.
• Completion of a Nurse Practitioner program that adheres to the clinical needs of the department.
• Demonstrated competency in clinical skills relevant to outpatient cardiology practice.

Preferred Experience

While we welcome applications from both experienced Nurse Practitioners and recent graduates, candidates possessing previous experience in cardiology-related inpatient or outpatient settings will be highly regarded. Compensation and Benefits
