Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to deliver exemplary healthcare services, ensuring continuity of care for all assigned patients.
• Accurately gather and document comprehensive patient histories, including physical and psychosocial assessments, tailoring evaluations based on the patient's age and medical background.
• Conduct age-appropriate and non-invasive preventive screening procedures to catch potential health issues early.
• Analyze patient data to formulate differential diagnoses and create effective patient care plans that address both short-term and long-term health goals.
• Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, encouraging active patient engagement in their health care.
• Prescribe medications as well as non-pharmacologic therapies, monitoring patient responses to ensure optimal treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on a pediatric and adolescent patient population, where you will assess and treat various conditions common within a school setting. From managing routine health issues such as allergies and asthma to addressing acute illnesses, your expertise will guide families and students toward improved health trajectories. Emphasis will also be placed on educating young patients about healthy lifestyle choices.

Qualifications

• A Master's Degree with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience, particularly in internal medicine or pediatrics.
• Competence in medical technologies and the utilization of electronic health records (EHR) to streamline patient care.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a strong ability to teach and advocate for patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
